Executive Management

BlackRock Midstream is led by a team of energy industry professionals with diverse yet complementary backgrounds.

The Managing Partners have significant industry and market knowledge including long-standing relationships with producers, marketers, refiners in key markets.

Randall Eddington

Managing Partner

Randall is a Business graduate of the University of Oklahoma in Economics and GIS. Before attending OU he spent time as a kicker for the University of Tulsa football team where they were conference USA and Liberty Bowl Champions.

After Graduating he spent time in various roles as Territory and Regional Manager in the corrosion control and pipe and supply field of the Oil & Gas industry. Randall has served on the advisory council for SOER (Sustaining Oklahoma's Energy Resources, previously the Marginal Well Commission) as well as other advisory roles. The last 7 years Randall has been dedicated to buying crude oil for various small and large midstream companies and developing lasting relationships with producers.

Ryan Messer

Managing Partner

Ryan brings more than 15 years of leadership, operational and board level experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining BlackRock Midstream in 2017, he served as Executive Director & COO of a publicly traded upstream energy company that he co-founded in 2005.

Prior to that he was the President & COO for Sterling Energy from its founding in 2002. Collectively Ryan has funded and drilled over 180 wells across Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. He has operated in environmentally sensitive areas including inland waters, wetlands and a wildlife & fishery refuge without incident. Having been an operator for his entire energy career, Ryan understands the challenges our customers face.

Ryan holds a BSBA in Finance and Marketing degree and has completed continuing education from Colorado School of Mines and Emory University for Mining Economics and LEAN Six Sigma Certifications. Ryan is also a member if IPAA and AAPG.
